May’s Program

We’ve gained some new members over the last year and we’re making the time to get to know each other. We’ll be forming groups and getting to know each other better since there have been quite a few new faces in QUIP this year.

After our meeting:

Help cut charity quilt kits. It’s just easier for members to take a quilt kit and make it rather than picking a design and fabrics to make it. So, bring your cutting tools (mat, rulers and rotary cutters) and enjoy this productive activity.

Friday May 17th

The Friday after our Guild meeting will still be open for a full day of sewing. No cost, just fun. Bring lunch. Starts at 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Anyone can come for cutting, sewing, knitting, hand sewing fellowship. A workshop will be held in the a.m. Teresa will have supplies for six pin cushion/thread catchers at $2.00 each for sand, ceramic tile.

I will still bring “crumbs and strips” for anyone interested after lunch.

Crumbs and Strips: Use discarded fabric, orphan blocks, and get hooked! No patterns. Start with a small piece and keep adding to it, very addictive. Open to all members who want to have sewing time away from home.
